It was a pure pleasure working with these gorgeous fabrics! And now the Twister quilt is finished, flat, and boxed up for shipment.
While sitting down and resting my knees this past week, I finished binding the Scrappy Trip quilt. This is the binding I chose:
I stitched it by machine, front and back, and did a fairly lousy job of it. I can't decide if the label distracts from the mess of the binding, or if it draws attention to it.
But that is life. And this quilt is ready to be shipped off as well.
The recipient of this quilt is a very special woman who lives several hundred miles away from me. And she is someone I don't even know. Her name is Kelly, and our only connection is my grandson. She's been a special person to him since the day after he was born.
And every day since.
I hope she doesn't think it's too wild!
